About

Growing up in Melbourne Australia, it was hard not to love sports. It’s the self-proclaimed sporting capital of the world. But it has a fair case - year round there are world class events rolling through Melbourne to compliment the domestic sports seasons.

I remember first being interested in photography at about 7 years old. My Dad had a Ricoh SRL camera and I used to love tinkering with it. I recall there being so many dials and buttons on that fully-manual film camera. It fascinated me, though I had no idea what they all did. I was fortunate that my high school had a dark room and it was around then, that I figured I could try to combine my interest in photography with my love of sports. I studied Applied Photography at RMIT University in Melbourne.

After graduating I worked freelance before taking up a staff position at the Slattery Media Group and later the Australian Football League, where I covered Australian Rules Football, for 8 seasons. Since moving to the United States in 2014 I've called the San Francisco Bay Area home and I continue combining my passions for sports and photography.
